We have AFIDS set up on a semi-private cloud with our ISP, ATJEAU. We’re starting to see the advantages of this approach now, as we are starting to provision new instances of AFIDS for other volunteer flying organizations. We can easily scale up the resources available to all the apps, and control the resources available to each app individually. This in particular will come in handy because some instances are in production and some in development with only a few users. Also, each organization brings a different load based on the number of users, volume of flights, etc.
